{Baby-on-the-Way!}

I think that pregnancy is so absolutely amazing and beautiful and miraculous! My heart breaks for those ladies who are trying so hard to conceive and can't....

Anyways, enjoy these photos of my good friend who is, well.. ready to pop! :)

Hmmm... is baby a boy or a girl??! I'm so curious ;)

{Vanderspek Kiddos!}

Amy asked me to take a few pictures of her kids, especially portrait shots that she could hang on her wall. She warned me that Kyle and Natalie probably wouldn't sit still, and were hard to photograph
 (Aren't most kids? lol  ) Lucky for me, Kyle is super photogenic, and just plunked himself down and said 'cheese.' That only lasted for about 10 seconds, but I managed to grab a few shots in that time! :) I also got some very cute shots of Natalie, which were more casual!

Most photographers probably would cringe if they saw the last picture of Natalie....I didn't capture the lighting very well and there's some harsh shadow lines.... But I love the picture, anyway! I think it really captures Natalie's free, playful character and shows just how precious little girls can be ;)

As a (hobbyist) photographer, I aim for perfection. And sometimes, I think I go too far. Not all pictures have to be perfect, with perfect lighting and perfect props and perfect colours and perfect people. The main idea behind photography is capturing memories, and I want to make sure that I never lose sight of that! If all people remember after their photoshoot with me was the stiff posing and awkward positions, than I failed. I want them to remember laughter and special moments and love.

So for all you moms (and others) out there who keep thinking 'I wish I had a better camera so I could take better pictures of my kids, and I wish I was more creative...' just remember to take lots of pictures and treasure the love, emotions, and people in each photograph. It's the people around you that matter, not the perfect pictures that you have or don't have. (But that being said, beautiful pictures are worth aLOT!)

{Maternity Sneak Peak!}

I have a newborn shot, kids portaits, and some maternity poses that need some editing, and than I will share them with you! And I also have two anniversaries coming up (today and tomorrow), which I won't be posting here on my blog, but I will have them printed out at home for anyone who is interested to see!

{Amy: I Do}

One more picture I wanted to share from Eric & Amy's wedding!

{Bryson is One!}

Here are some more shots of this cute little man!

 It was super, super windy, which was real bummer, since I had planned to grab some shots outside, especially some nice family ones! Jono had patiently driven me all around Nobleford, and I had picked out a few good locations for family pictures! And than it was windy! And I really do not like taking pictures inside (well, for little kids and newborns I don't mind, but that's it!). I much prefer the outdoor look with natural light....So I took Adrian, Cheryl & Bryson to a spot I thought would be protected from the wind-which it wasn't. So we headed back and grabbed a few family pictures inside! We did manage to get a few cute shots! :)

Adrian & Cheryl, thanks again for asking me to photograph you guys! I really hope you like them! Bryson-You make my day every time I see you! Thanks for being so stinkin cute!

Janey, thank you so much for borrowing me your bowls...and your scrabble letters...and for being so nice about lending them to someone you barely know! I really appreciate it!

{Bryson: Sneak Peak!}

Bryson is 1! Here's a quick sneak peak of the pictures that I took! I have now learned that one year old's really do not pose, nor stand still for more than 2 seconds, so plunking a busy little guy into a bowl and filling it with fruit loops was, well, brilliant! (not my original idea, I have to admit, though!)
