{My Family: Photoshoot}

Meet my mom and sisters Marilee & Sheree! For grad, I asked mom if she would buy me a photoshoot with the sisters and her (best grad present ever!) Karen Van Herk took these pictures for us, and it was aLOT of fun! It was interesting to be on the other end of the camera, for a change. Karen did a great job, and I plan to scrapbook ALL the pictures :D  (To see more of Karen's photos, visit http://www.ttaaphotography.blogspot.com/). I have noticed lately that I am so busy taking pictures and editing them for other people that I forget about taking pictures of my own family! So it was extra special to get these pictures back, and I plan to take some pictures of my brothers and dad in the near future. I hope you enjoy! Thank you very, very much, Karen! You did an amazing job!

{A Special Anniversary}

Anniversaries are so special! I was very honoured to take pictures for this wonderful family on their anniversary! I had lots of fun, and have waaaaay more pictures that I would love to share, but this will have to do for now. I was worried about the weather being too rainy, but instead, had to deal with the very bright sun, and of course, mosquitoes. But I can't complain, it was a beautiful day with a beautiful family! Despite the fact that my Dutch language skills are quite poor, and some of the kids did not know English, we managed to communicate, and I think the language barrier just made things funnier :) By the end of 2 hours, I had taken 700 pictures. Turns out, some of the kids had locked themselves in the bathroom downstairs because they'd had enough of pictures :) J & M and family: thank you very much for letting me photograph you guys! I had a very fun afternoon with you guys, and hope you enjoyed it, as well! God's blessings in the years to come!
I realize that the jumping idea is very old and not at all original, but it made the kids laugh and enjoy the moment, so I decided to share it with you!

{Erik & Amanda: I Do}

Meet Erik & Amanda!  They are my new neighbours :) They were married May 28th, and I took pictures for their whole day, with Vera Vanee-Boot. I absolutely loved everything about their wedding day. Both Erik & Amanda were very photogenic and  relaxed. I loved the dresses and decorations and hair and the service and everything! When my mom saw my pictures, she said that she could really see that Erik adored Amanda...it sounds cheesy, but its true! :) All week long I worried about the weather. Although everything was wet and muddy, the day turned out pretty good! It rained during the ceremony and it was pretty cold for outside pictures, but I think we got pretty good weather considering the forecast and everything. All in all, I think the day went very well and I'm happy with the results! Enjoy!!
I think weddings should be fun. And although I always want to get the perfect pictures, sometimes it's good to go with the flow and capture everything about the day, including goofy bridal party moments :)
I loved her flowers! :)

Some pictures don't turn out as I planned, but they're funny anyways! :-)

Erik & Amanda's wedding text...."For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Erik & Amanda: Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day! All the best in married life!

{My Family}

Meet MY family! I have been meaning to upload these pictures for a long time, but just didn't get around to it. I figured that since I am posting pictures of everybody else's family, I should post some of my family, too! I'm proud of my family and I love them like crazy. My parents aren't in any of these pictures because we took them as a suprise for their 20th Anniversary last year. I discovered that the key to making my brothers smile was to have them pose with 'cool' things, like old cars. Jacey and Nathan loved all the old equipment and very happily posed for me for over 2 hours! I think we were definately trespassing when we were taking pictures, but we didn't get caught, and we didn't cause any trouble, so I think we're ok. Next time I'll ask permission, though :) We made lots of fun memories the day we took these pictures, and I'll always treasure them! Enjoy! :)
